The Rare Breed Centre opened in mid 2004 to promote conservation and education in rare breeds. A visit to our farm gives you the chance to learn about, get close to and even feed a range of rare breed Goats, Sheep, Poultry and Pigs.


The Rare Breed Centre's has a number of activities for the family to enjoy. The activities include:-
  •  Willow Maze
  • Pedal Tractors
  •  Children's Sandpit
  • Wooden Milking Cow
  • Snakes and Ladder Game
  • Children Play Area 
  •  Draught's Game

Over 45,000 people came to visit us in 2007 and 40,000 in a very wet 2008 to see the improvements we have made and see and feed the animals. Things change all the time so Please click on News Page for latest news.

School Visits

Its also a fun and safe farm visit for groups of all ages lead by Access to Farms trained staff. We now have teacher packs and resources tailor made for the farm by the Salvation Army Schools and Colleges Dept. For more details please contact us.
