Our Rare Breeds

We have a wide range of Rare Breeds to see when you visit us. Here is just a selection.

The rare breed centre has 12 females and one male bagot goats.These are classed as critical by the Rare Breeds Survival Trust (RBST) and four Golden Guernsey Goats which are classed in the minority on the RBST watchlist.

The centre also
 has some cute Grey Face Dartmoor Sheep and Leicester Longwool sheep, which are classed as endangered on the RBST watchlist. We also have a Leicester Longwool ram called Foxfordhill (Lenny) who is from a rare bloodline.
The centre breed and keep four types of Chicken. Our main breed are the Ixworth chicken which are classed as endangered on the RSBT watchlist. We also have small groups of Derbyshire red caps, Scots Grey and Golden Brahmas. We also have five pure breed Aylesbury ducks.
